It is heartening to see this innovative approach to addressing conflict in schools, especially in areas that need it most. In Baltimore City, higher rates of crime and drug-abuse add a level of stress and frustration most kids don't have to face. Finding peace from within creates a refreshing opportunity to become centered, confident and compassionate. Teaching these skills at a young age will go a long way towards reducing medications, time spent in suspension, bullying and senseless violence.
This trend will hopefully spread to become a routine part of all student and teachers' days, not just for those who are sent to detention. Raising spiritually aware children in harmony with one another will bring a peaceful force to our world.
As adults, we can support our younger generations' efforts by finding our own peace from within. Focusing on the breath is an excellent foundation, but it's not so easy to get to that place of stillness in a short time. Many have found success using the sounds of Sacred Acoustics, composed with NeuralHelix, a harmonic blend of binaural & monaural beats, designed to support quieting a racing mind and easing tension in the body.
A great place to start is Whole States, providing a range of brainwave states (delta, theta and alpha) for relaxation, study, focus and rest.
most interesting, thank you

Knowing how to maintain a core sense of presence and balance creates a foundation of strength to move from empathy to compassion, and at your finest, altruism, when you take action to help another without concern for yourself.
