How are your binaural beats different?

How are your binaural beats different?

With so many options available for binaural beat audio recordings, including YouTube, free apps and other producers, many have asked, what makes Sacred Acoustics different from all the others? Binaural beats remain a key ingredient, but our recordings contain so much more.

At their simplest, binaural beats are discerned when one frequency is heard in the left ear and a slightly different frequency (less than 25 hz) is heard in the right ear. The difference between those frequencies is heard as a wavering sound, or "wa-wa-wa," that typically serves to entrain the brain to relaxed states of awareness. These can be listened to alone but it's not always a pleasant sensation, thus sounds like rain, surf or pink noise are often added to mask the underlying binaural beats.

As I explored ways to quiet the mind using such brainwave entrainment audio technology, I tried Hemi-Sync, Holosync, Jeffrey Thompson and many others. Kevin Kossi and I began our collaboration to create our own recordings for engendering expanded states of consciousness by analyzing and deconstructing what had already been created.

In this process, we experimented through meticulous trial and error with various ways to improve on those methods, moving beyond simple binaural beats, ultimately resulting in the creation of an innovative technique we call NeuralHelix, a proprietary combination of binaural beats with monaural beats.

Each recording contains a unique blend of NeuralHelix digital frequencies and other sound effects found in nature, or created using various musical instruments and synthesizers. Precise and complex spreadsheets determine the potential carrier tones and dozens of layers comprise the final result. We select frequencies that are related to numbers found in nature, such as the golden mean or rotations of planets.

Cymatics, originally developed by Hans Jenny, is employed to adjust the timbre, or tone quality to resemble the harmony found in nature and sacred geometry. We then apply a technique originally developed to create holograms (originally developed by Dennis Gabor using laser light waves) in much the same way with the intersection of sound waves to create harmonic interference patterns.

As non-musicians, we are not hindered by traditional music theory, allowing us to implement innovative combinations of frequencies. We take a mathematical approach using Pythagorean principles of natural harmonics and proportion to create music. By ensuring all frequencies and sound effects are harmonically related, the mostly digital sounds no longer require a mask of pink noise.

There remains a need for additional sounds woven in with the NeuralHelix tones and creative those backgrounds is an art in itself. Each recording is developed from the ground up, creating new sets of frequencies for the particular goal to be achieved. Far from being one or two binaural beats embedded within other music or nature sounds, Sacred Acoustics recordings are sophisticated musical compositions.

We continue to develop inventive approaches to using frequency (examples) as a tool for cultivating altered states of consciousness. using human voice and instruments to create binaural beats, planetary energies, ways to harness

Many binaural beat enthusiasts tell us our recordings are the most effective they've tried among all the popular options. Of course, the best way to learn firsthand what makes Sacred Acoustics recordings special is to listen for yourself.
